Ed Stetzer

Ed Stetzer, Ph.D., holds the Billy Graham Distinguished Chair for Church, Mission, and Evangelism at Wheaton College. Ed also serves as the Executive Director of the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism at Wheaton, and as chair of the Evangelism and Ed is a prolific author, and well-known conference speaker. He has planted, revitalized, and pastored churches, trained pastors and church planters on six continents, holds two masters degrees and two doctorates, and has written a dozen books and hundreds of articles.

Stetzer is a contributing editor for Christianity Today, a columnist for Outreach Magazine, and is frequently cited or interviewed in news outlets such as USAToday and CNN. He is also the Executive Editor of The Gospel Project, which is used by over 1 million individuals each week.

As of fall 2015, Stetzer co-hosts BreakPoint This Week, a radio broadcast that airs on over 400 media outlets.

He also serves the teaching pastor at Christ Fellowship, a multi-cultural megachurch in Miami, Florida.

Jeff Bucknam

Dr. Jeff Bucknam has served as Lead Pastor of Northview Community Church (NVCC) in Abbotsford, BC since 2008. Originally from Seattle, Washington he holds a double BA in history and communications from Western Washington University;  an MTh from Dallas Theological Seminary and a DMin from Talbot School of Theology. Prior to coming to NVCC, he taught at Pathways College in Auckland, New Zealand. He also held a Teaching Pastor position at Hope Community Church in Nelson, New Zealand. Jeff is credentialed with the British Columbia Mennonite Brethren Churches. When he is not writing sermons, he can be found lecturing for his NVCC’s Immerse Master of Divinity Program, teaching theology classes to interns and congregants, and guest speaking in both academic and church settings. He and his wife reside in Abbotsford, British Columbia with their two sons and daughter.

Jeff Vanderstelt

As the visionary leader of the Soma Family of Churches and Saturate and the lead teaching pastor at Doxa Church in Bellevue, WA, Jeff Vanderstelt gets to spend his days doing what he loves – training disciples of Jesus to make more disciples of Jesus and equipping the Church in the gospel and missional living. Jeff is the author of Saturate, Saturate Field Guide, and Gospel Fluency. He and Jayne, his wife of twenty-three years, have three children; Haylee, Caleb, and Maggie.

Mark Clark

Mark grew up in Toronto and moved to Vancouver in 2004 to attend Regent College, where he received a Master of New Testament Studies. Following over ten years of ministry, Mark, along with his wife Erin and an amazing team of people, planted Village Church in January 2010, which has now grown into a vibrant multi site church with 4 locations across two provinces (Vancouver, Calgary) and soon launching one in Montreal. He is passionate about contextualizing the gospel, teaching the Bible, seeing people transformed by Jesus, planting churches, and seeing the gospel advance across Canada. Mark resides in South Surrey with his wife and their three daughters. He is honoured and excited to lead Village Church wherever God calls it to go. Mark is also the author of ‘The Problem of God’ (Zondervan, 2017).

Mark Jobe

Mark is the lead and founding pastor of New Life Community Church in the city of Chicago. He and his wife Dee have seen New Life grow from a handful of people to several thousand meeting at over 25 locations with over 40 worship services each weekend. Mark is also the founder of New Life Centers, an organization focused on helping youth in underserved areas of Chicago ( He holds a Masters degree from Moody theological Seminary and a Doctorate degree from Bakke Graduate University. Mark is the author of UNSTUCK: Out of your cave into your call and can be heard on his daily radio program Straighttalk.

Norm Funk

Norm is the Senior Pastor of Westside Church, a church he planted, by God's grace, in 2005. He has been married to Nicole for 23 years and they have two boys, Matthew and Micah, aged 16 and 14. In his down time he enjoys playing the occasional round of golf or falling asleep on the couch watching it.

Pat Sczebel

Pat is a pastor, worship leader and song writer who lives in Langley BC. He has pastored at Crossway Church for almost 20 years. He is married to his best friend Cherry for almost 32 years. He has 8 children, 3 biological, 2 adopted, and fosters 3.

His passion is to teach and model what it means to magnify Jesus’ worth and work every time we gather as a local church. To help pastor’s/worship leaders create a banquet feast for their congregations through remembering the good news of the gospel in our liturgies. To help God’s people see Jesus as the all-surpassing treasure.

Shaila Visser

Shaila Visser is the National Director of Alpha Canada and a key leader on the Global Executive Team for Alpha International. She is the Executive Producer of both The Alpha Youth Film Series (2013) and The Alpha Film Series (2016), and currently holds a position on Board of Regent College-an International Graduate School in Vancouver.

Shaila has a heart for people coming to know Jesus and is passionate about helping the local church flourish. She is a gifted communicator who is known for her strategic leadership as well as her ability to bring people together. Shaila is recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Christian Women in Canada. Shaila lives in Vancouver Canada with her husband, Ryan Visser; a Vancouver Police Officer on the K9 Unit. Shaila and Ryan have two four legged family members, Blade and Talon. 

Paul Winter

Serving God and His Church has been one of the great privileges of my life. I've been a Follower of Jesus for 21 years, and I am blessed to be married to Jodi, have three children (Taylor, Darian, and Liam) and one grandson (JJ).

I am currently the National Indigenous Ambassador for C2C, as well as pastor at Living Word Temple and Turtle Island Community Church (both located in Winnipeg’s North End Winnipeg and largely First Nations). Here we learn about the the love of Jesus and meet people where they are at in their journey with God. It’s important to be culturally informed and sensitive to the needs of First Nations church members. The relationships formed here reach beyond the North End community. First Nations people come to know Jesus and want to share His love to those in their home communities.

Steven Mulder

Stephen Mulder is the National Ministry Director of Alpha Canada and is currently on the lead team at St Peter's Fireside, a vibrant church plant in the heart of Vancouver.  Stephen is passionate about the local church, leadership development, social entrepreneurship and strategy.

Stephen, originally from South Africa, came to Vancouver to attend graduate school in 2010.  He has a background in sustainability consulting in diverse markets such the Middle East and Africa. He loves everything to do with outdoors and when he is not riding his bike or drinking coffee in the city, you will find him hiking or skiing in the mountains or sailing and surfing on the ocean, which makes him a pretty typical Vancouverite.

Dr. Bill Hogg

Dr. Bill Hogg’s passion is proclaiming the beauty, power, and truth of the good news of Jesus and equipping others to do the same. Bill is available as a training resource to inspire, equip, and coach leaders, church plants and established faith communities to follow Jesus into their respective mission fields.

Bill is a former radio host and has served as a pastor, professor, evangelist, and a movie extra! He was involved in pioneer evangelism in his native Scotland where he launched Youth for Christ. He is part of the Arrow Leadership Ministries faculty, offering training in evangelism. His doctoral research focused on leadership approaches to the missional renewal of established congregations. Hogg is a published author who has written books on prayer and youth culture and is currently writing an evangelism primer.

Blair Allen

Blair along with his wife Sharon moved to Regina in the summer of 2008 with a very clear call to plant a church in the growing city of Regina. Shortly after arriving, Blair worked in construction and they began gathering people each week to teach the Bible and to share the vision of “The Compass Church.” As this initial core group grew, they launched The Compass Church in East Regina in 2010. God's faithfulness has been evident as The Compass Church, by God's grace, has grown and launched a second congregation in the North End of Regina, and in 2018 a third congregation in the South End of Regina.

Blair and Sharon have four amazing kids and enjoy camping, biking and being together, laughing with their kids. Blair is the preaching Pastor at the East Regina location and oversees the larger vision and direction of The Compass Church.

Ben Hall

Ben Hall is the Lead Pastor of Shuswap Community Church, a multi-site church in the BC interior. SCC currently gathers in Salmon Arm, Sicamous and Sorrento, with hopes and dreams to multiply into the neighbouring communties of Chase and Enderby. Ben is blessed to work alongside a staff team that is passionately committed to “declare and demonstrate the transforming power of the gospel,” especially within small town British Columbia. In his free time he loves coaching football, running up mountains, and spending time with his beautiful wife and four awesome kids.

Brittney Dagneau

Brittney Dagneau is a local worship leader and songwriter from Mission, BC. She began leading worship in 2008 and graduated from Pacific life Bible college with an Associate’s degree in Music Ministry. Brittney has a desire to see the Church adopt a model of musical worship that focuses on proclaiming who God is and what He has done for us through songs that proclaim and explain God’s attributes and tell the story of the gospel. She currently leads worship with her husband at Parkside Church and is working on a worship EP.

Joel Sczebel

Joel is the Director of Worship at Christ City Church in Vancouver, BC. He is married with two children, and has written and co-written many worship songs, including “Revive Us Again”, “Shine into Our Night”, “Grace and Peace” and many more. Joel has a heart to see the church singing Christ exalted songs in our Sunday gatherings.

Marc Willerton

Marc serves as Worship Director at Westside Church in Vancouver, BC. This year Marc and his wife Charlene celebrate 10 years of marriage. They have two crazy boys named Oliver and Elliot.

Marc is passionate about seeing the gospel presented and celebrated in the church gathering. In addition to leading the worship ministry at Westside, this passion is further evidenced in his work writing songs and arranging timeless hymns. In these efforts Marc's desire is to see the church equipped with gospel centred, Christ exalting music.

Jon Hawes

Jon serves as a pastor at Coquitlam Alliance Church. He oversees the music ministry at both the Port Coquitlam campus and Ethos, a gathering of Young Adults on Sunday evenings. Jon was born and raised in England, but he moved to Vancouver in 2010 to undertake a Biblical Studies degree. He has been married to his wife Leanne for four years and recently became a father to his newborn son, Peter. Jon is passionate about writing congregational songs for the local church that magnify the greatness of God.

Hugh Morrison

Hugh is the pastor of Margaree Valley Baptist Church where he and his wife Tracey and their five children have served since 2001. Margaree Valley Baptist is a rural church on the Island of Cape Breton that was planted in 1835. In the last decade their church has started three other congregations in three unreached communities on their Island.

Hugh enjoys spending time with his five awesome, cool children (my youngest daughter who is 8 wrote that part). We like to camp, hike, swim in the river, hunt grouse, grow vegetables, dirtbike, and spend time with friends.

John Johnstone

John Johnstone, husband to his awesome wife Jenn and three children, Aiden, Teagan, and Forrest, was born of Settler and First Nation heritage in Duncan on Vancouver Island and a member of the Leq'a:mel First Nation. He was adopted into a white family in a white community. While being very blessed and privileged, his upbringing had no First Nation culture involved in it. The last 20 years of his 50, he has been a follower of Jesus. And the last 12 years, he has been entering into his First Nation culture. He believes that the Creator has placed him in a unique place to be able to understand and feel the joys and pains of the Settler First Nation and Christian mix. John is looking forward to be part of this great healing journey.

Joseph Peterson

Joseph serves as Youth Director at Westside Church in Vancouver, BC. In 2015, he moved to Vancouver to start the Youth Ministry of Westside. Joseph is married to his best friend Nicole and they have a son named Haddon. Joseph loves speciality coffee, cycling, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jake LeFave

Originally from Ontario, Jake was drawn out West by a beautiful woman and the prospect of working in full-time ministry. He’s passionate about God’s initiative in saving us from our sin, seeing people apply the gospel to their daily lives, and altogether helping people see the ‘better story’. When he’s not at the office, he can be found spending time with his family, running, and reading.

Brent Ingersoll

Brent Ingersoll serves as the Senior Pastor of Kings Church, Atlantic Canada’s largest and fastest growing evangelical church, with locations spreading over the Saint John, NB area, as well as Halifax, Nova Scotia. Brent is passionate about seeing lives transformed by the power of the Gospel, and to see God’s Kingdom influence and infiltrate the greater Atlantic region through The Church. Brent lives in Quispamsis, NB, with his wife Melanie, their daughter Ava, and their sons Aden and Alexander.
